James "Marty" Bullard

Immediately after graduating high school, I spent five years in the military as a United States Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division, where I rose to the rank of Sergeant within three years. I was a member of the first task force in Operation Desert Shield/Storm. Although I was highly decorated, I readily moved into civilian life after being injured in Iraq.

Post military, I attended the University of North Carolina at Pembroke earning a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Middle Grades Education. At UNCP, I was a member of two National Honor Societies and Graduated Magna Cum Laude.

I immediately started a career with a Fortune 500 Company as an Account Sales Manager, where I earned Platinum awards every year. Soon I was promoted to District Sales Manager and eventually Regional Sales Manager. I received several National awards during my tenure, finishing in the Top 5 of District Sales Managers on five separate occasions.

I began my journey in 2010 as an advisor in the Retirement Benefits Group. In 2011, I completed my first year with over 300 new clients. I now serve as Regional Vice President with Equitable. Parallel to this management position, I continue to serve roughly 2,000 clients in North Carolina.

Currently I reside in Moore County, NC, near Pinehurst, in a little town called Seven Lakes. Myself, Marcie, my daughter Madison and 3 tiny pups, Mia 11 lbs., Abby 5 lbs, & Memphis (rescued from Tennessee), 8 lbs. I love my family!
